News from The Estates Office
Rural Rising Star Award Finalist
We are delighted to announce that Sophie was nominated and has now been announced as a finalist for the Scottish Land and Estates “Helping it happen awards”.
Organised by Scottish Land and Estates and sponsored by Nature Scot the awards celebrate those making remarkable contributions to the vibrancy and sustainability of Scotland’s countryside across 11 diverse categories, including education, conservation, farming, and rural business.
Nominated under the “The Rural Rising Star Award” Sophie joins 3 other talented people as finalists.
Sophie on hearing of her nomination and becoming a finalist said “It’s an honour to even be recognised and nominated for such and award but to be placed as a finalist alongside the others - I am overwhelmed." Sophie continued “A teacher once said I would never accomplish anything, I work every day to prove them wrong and this nomination is the cherry on the top.”
The award ceremony takes place at the beginning of October in Edinburgh and we at the Estates Office wish everyone the very best of luck!
