News from The Estates Office
Business News #32
The Scottish Government are launching their new “test and protect” strategy in Scotland today, with a similar system being launched in England. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should take immediate steps to be tested and self-isolate, along with their household, until the results of the test are known. If the test comes back positive they will be required to provide details of everyone with whom they have been in close contact, who will then be contacted by specialist tracers and instructed to immediately self-isolate for 14 days. Those contacted will not be told the name of the person who tested positive in order to protect their privacy, and the First Minister has advised that information will be handled by the NHS and will not be accessible by the Scottish Government.
The launch of the new tracing scheme will coincide with relaxation of lockdown, with the First Minister expected to announce a move to Phase One of the Scottish Governments route map today. Further details of the Phase One changes can be found on the Scottish Government website here>
