COVID-19 Business Update #6
The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) have advised that they are still working closely with the Scottish Government to relax criteria for grant applications on behalf of self-catering accommodation. Currently the eligibility for grants is conditional on the property being the primary source of earnings for the ratepayer and the property having been let out for more than 140 days of the 2019-2020 financial year.
While these criteria still stand, Fergus Ewing MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy & Tourism, has been in contact with the ASSC to advised that the Scottish Government recognises there are gaps in the support available, and they will continue working to further address these.
